Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering

Mechanical and Automation Engineering came into existence in 2003 and offers B.Tech (MAE) which is a four years programme. Department of MAE has facilities comprising of sophisticated Experimental Laboratories, with state of the art Equipments, a well-stocked library, & a network of latest computers in a separate Computer Lab. All the labs are well equipped with machinery required for having basic knowledge about the Mechanical Engineering, which help in overall development of students and will help the students to work efficiently in the industry.

  • Unmanned Wireless Remote Controlled Vehicle developed by MAE Department & Robogyan Society Students under the guidance of Prof.(Dr.) G.P. Govil, Director, Mr. Neeraj Kumar, Head & Mr. Kumar Ankur, Assistant Professor.
  • Mr. Manish Gupta, University Topper & Gold Medalist of 2012-2016 Batch.
  • Mr. Ved Vyas, University Topper & Gold Medalist of 2011-2015 Batch.
  • Mechanical and Automation Engineering Department secured 2nd position for project named “Compressed Air Driven Engine”, guided by Mr. Kumar Ankur in GGSIPU Major Project Compition.
  • The All Terrain Vehicle (TORQUE) developed by 4th year Mechanical Engineering students of NIEC, stood first in Inter Collegiate Final Year MAE Projects Competition of Colleges affiliated to GGSIP University.
